Central and North Indiana is bracing for 2 days of snow and ice starting tomorrow.
I went out today to the local IGA and loaded up on my sodas that I favor, and got some junk food for the wife and me.
If you are North of Indy, hunker down, stay off the road, be careful and stay warm!!!!

Yeah … real frakk'n cold here is NE Ohio. We still have about 16 inches of snow on the ground. With more to come, sadly … I'm leaving now to go to the Y's hot tube!

Here in mid-Michigan they were forecasting 10-16" yesterday morning. This morning it was 8-12".

So at this rate of decline I am totally expecting Thursday to be 4" when it is all said done.

Would love a huge snowfall. We haven't had that in a very long time.

Good thing it is not the East, especially New York City and Boston, because as the media will always tell us at the top of every hour, it is always so much worse when the same conditions happen there. 😉😂

Well bless your heart Legion. Clear, sunny and 58 degrees in Chattanooga.

You whippersnappers! I remember walking to school in Ohio in 1978. That was some weather. I also remember going on the roof with my dad to shovel snow so it wouldn't collapse in to the house. Obviously, the benefits of Global Warming have made y'all soft.

I graduated from college in Ohio in 77. I lived through the great Blizzard of 78. No Garage, cars with snow to the roof tops. Had to dig out of the front door because the drifts were up to the roof of the house. Never want to go through that again.

I was a freshman in college in Ohio in 78, I thought for the longest time that's just how winter are there, LOL.

DrSkull01 Feb 2022 11:52 a.m. PST

Bad winter weather in Midwest!
Also, fire is hot, water is wet.

Grelber01 Feb 2022 12:00 p.m. PST

We're looking at up to a foot of snow (.3 meters) starting tonight and running into Thursday in the wee hours in Colorado. Temps will stay below freezing until Friday.

We'll need more to fill the reservoirs and keep the place moist and fireproof for next summer.

I live 20 miles South of Boston, this past weekend we got 24 inches of snow, 48 in some spots because of drifting. Tomorrow it will be in the 40's…. it's Winter. It is what it is.

Just moved from SoCal to Maine. Let's just say that January was a little…different… Turns out we DO need stinkin' snow tires.

Right now just below freezing here in southwestern Ontario, expecting 15 – 20 cm of snow over the next few days; we are all stocked up with food and this afternoon I am bringing in a few more loads of wood for the fireplace

Here in SE Michigan predicts freezing rain change to snow with 12-16 by Thursday evening. I love snow!! Not so much freezing rain however.

Ice is the issue. Snow can be handled. 2 to 3 inches of ice is another matter.

Isn't the subway system in London called the "tube"? Maybe they heated it up and ran a spur line to Ohio?

PzGeneral01 Feb 2022 4:29 p.m. PST

Yeah, SE Michigan, NW Ohio. My company had us all take our lap tops home today. No snow days for us by golly…

A guy at work was worried about the Pinewood Derby this weekend, so I told him I would buy his troop kits for next year if they put snow chains on one of the cars.

I'm blaming Auto-correct or early onset of dementia … old fart

Not AFAIK … it would be a very long "Tube" from London to OH. Including going under the Atlantic. 🌊

Sadly the Y's Hot Tub was only tepid … has been for months. The heater is not working at 100%. The part is probably sitting on a ship off the coast of CA ? 🚢

Better than outside though …❄

We are awaiting a snowstorm as I type this … frown

Etotheipi. I remember doing the same thing for the garage back in the early 1960's. My dad used to boost me up, and I kept working from the back of the roof to the front. He stayed under the overhang to catch me if I fell.

70 degrees here today in San Antonio Texas……

Good luck, and try to stay warm.

Low 30s to just freezing here at night, but nice and sunny, and around 60 during the day, all week long.

He stayed under the overhang to catch me if I fell.

Nice dad, there.

Actually, my dad was a chemical engineer, and very safety conscious. I don't necessarily remember it for the snow, but when I was younger, I did get a safety line attached. No harness, just through my belt loops, then clipped to itself.

I do remember going to school a week or so later when the snow was piled above my head. Of course, in '78, that wasn't quite 3'… ;)

HansPeterB02 Feb 2022 11:52 a.m. PST

Not much snow in the forecast, but today the high in Grand Forks ND is supposed to be six below; tonight it will get chilly -- -38*.

mildbill03 Feb 2022 6:31 a.m. PST

We will prolly get the worst 6 inch snowfall in the history of the world.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP03 Feb 2022 9:14 a.m. PST

Ice and loads of sleet so far.

Ahhh the white death has arrived. Notify the papers!

Thresher0104 Feb 2022 8:58 p.m. PST

Hope everyone is doing well.

Saw some place in Colorado was 48 degrees below zero, which IS really, REALLY cold. Can't even imagine that.

Supposed to be about 70 degrees here by Sunday, but freezing or just below at night.
