Scale Creep sells 28mm figures from 1st Corps. They are a little larger than Old Glory (especially the mounted troops). You can look at the figures on the 1st Corps site link |

Musket Miniatures is back and available again. A nice line of 15mm figures. Also old Frontier Miniatures in both 15mm and 25mm.Long out of production but you see them on EBay now and again. These two make up the majority of my armies. Hope this helps, Tom D /musketminiatures.biz/collections/15mm-mexican-american-war-range-1 |

If I was starting out the period, and I wanted to do 15mm, I'd go with OG15s for the figures and Musket Miniatures for the houses, etc. (that is, if they are still up and running). OG15s paint up very quickly and their uniforms are probably the most accurate. If you live in the States, they are also probably the cheapest, as they offer discounts on big orders. Just my two cents. |

I'm thinking 15mm OG BM and ship the US troops to Fernando. I have a huge Mexican army from 1836 which will do, and can gradually add the 1846 Mex cavalry and such. Fernando's basic paint job is 75 cents, and when I use the Minwax dip they come out looking just fine. Did that with the Alamo Mexicans. |

The ONLY scale which offers ALL military uniform/head gear styles for the combatants is 15mm. Therefore, a mix of brands is the way to go. From experience (some 1200 figures bought for this subject) the best sources are Musket (when/if they are available), MiniFigs, with forays into 15mm Old Glory, FreiKorps, Frontier (if your LUCKY!), and (if I may say so) for Mexican Bands, Priests, Soldaderas, Hospital staff, etc, our own Special 15mm Mexican War Collection ( link ). For the record, the breath taking Eureka 18's are slowly getting close to full representation, but have a way to go. But if 10mm could be your choice, then Crackerline's "So Far From God" range is about 99% complete, with full choices for the Mexicans. You can check them out here: link See you in Mexico City! Ah, TVAG, been wondering about out-of-ammo markers for RF&F. Looks like you have that covered. Have to think about a band. |

Sorry, Joe. I just discovered that if you do not have access to Facebook, the link I shared cannot be seen. I will try another means in the future. I sure wish we could post pictures from our own computer here but I understand the memory associated with that would be too expensive for TMP (and probably be a real admin pain for Bill to do.) |
