Some consolation for you, if that's the worst thing you have done to your thumbs/figures consider yourself fortunate. A true teachable moment, pictures or it didn't happen. evil grin

White paint? You havent hit the "What have I done?" club, until you've actually glued your fingers too them. (Guilty) LOL

Or used black undercoat to varnish figures….😟

mjkerner23 Jan 2022 9:39 a.m. PST

Ooo, Ooo, I have done the black-primer-in-place-of-final-varnish-coat on at least two occasions! It hurts, it really hurts!

Thanks mjk. It was not a happy time…some of them were highlanders and the others Bengal Lancers..

The day I discovered that everything I ever painted Imrie-Riesley medium brown--musket stocks, backpacks, hair and horses--was turning a really bright orange. Yes, some old-timer had said something about adding just a little blue to the IR brown, but…

Done the primer for clear coat, based units only to discover I hadn't finished painting them, but my biggest sc--w up was painting an artillery battery and basing it, only to discover that I painted them in a completely wrong uniform. I painted them for a nation that was the enemy of the one the figures were suppose to represent. I now keep my reference material close at hand while painting.
