First I would like to thank all of you with your input over 2 threads about games that put you into a battalion commander's role. I found I actually have Battlefront from years ago so am going to give it a go. Thank you for the suggestions. I really appreciate TMP- it saved me going out and just buying a new rule set. For anyone interested I included pictures of several test games set in vietnam on my blog update. Just skip down to part 4. link Thanks again. Joe |

Interesting Vietnam adaption of Battlefront. It's been a while since I played BF, but I think that BF uses the same defensive fire/offensive mechanic that Fire and Fury ACW rules. So, a unit that fires defensive fire in the enemy turn, will get fired at by the enemy in offensive fire in the same turn, then get fired at again in by the enemy in defensive fire in your turn (unless you move). Power of the defense and all that. |

PZ, You are right. Squad leader is similar so it is a common mechanism. I am just use to force on force. I will play with it and see how I like it. Am running some Russian west German tests now. Thanks Joe |
