"Paramount + is bringing us a highly anticipated ten episode video game adaptation HALO This sprawling series will be set in the game universe, but will also explore new stories that follow the epic 26th-century conflict between humanity's United Nations Space Command and an alien threat known as the Covenant. The series stars Pablo Schreiber and Natascha McElhone, with Steven Spielberg producing through his Amblin TV." link YouTube link

Just remember it was Paramount that pretty much destroyed the Star Trek franchise. Don't get your hopes up. |

Master Chief's identity (face) is supposed to be a secret, never revealed in the Halo Universe… well not anymore… |

Getting a whole lot of Star Trek Discovery vibes with this one. |

ST Discovery it's very different from Halo. I hope they won't emasculate the character, this is a story about mere survival of human race, in such a mess one with feds' mentality would be litterally screwed. We can only hope for a fast, action packed flick. |

Apparently they have tinkered with the background – supposedly they are retconning the bit about the Spartan programme being for supressing human separatists! The article I read suggests it's do with making them heroic without the troubling aspect of the original backstory. Personally I was happy with that level of moral ambiguity and complexity! They're also making human space bigger and the Covenant War longer than the indicated by the original cannon. This is probably not a stupid move as it gives the script writers a but more wriggle room than the rather linear plotting of a computer game series….. |
