Do any of you solo gamers use a chart/matrix for enemy actions while playing solo games?

I need to come up with some formatting or ideas to do this.

If unsure by what I am referring to:
Example:
1d6 die
1 = engage enemy at missile range
2-5 = engage enemy at missile range 1 to 3 rounds then charge
6 = engage enemy once then charge

That kind of thing but much more detail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I am into, at the present, skirmishing 40mm AWI.
Thanks,
John

No, I just try to play both sides logically.

Most of my rule sets use a chart based solo system like you describe, this is a link to one of them: link

Even if you don't find mine useful, I sincerely hope you find what you are looking for!

I use an old fantasy system that Martian Metals once published for Non-player characters – and adapted to actions

It is also a chart based system

I cannot remember the website but I used an online flowchart maker to build this. It's not super in depth but works good for my solo play. Feel free to implement as needed or lift ideas from it!

I'd love to see some other systems as well.

Yes, of course.

Many of them for various things.

Night owl thats quite nice!

Yes. Nuts! has some simple ones along those lines which I use quite extensively. Programmed Wargame Scenarios does it at the whole force level in such a way as to make the kind of stuff you are on about obvious in the context of the game.

Check out Nordic Weasel Games on Wargames Vault. All his rules are written for solo play. You may be able to pull ides from there.

Alright fellas thanks for the good info. This is exactly what I am looking for. I'll check them out all of the suggestions.

If you think of any other relevant charts/matrixes that do the solo action decision making please let me know.
