Hi I've been looking into saga and think it looks fun! My only real concern is the ranges 12" maximum range for a bow is just silly. Any way to my question I have bought age of magic universe book But can't seem to find a table for the order/chaos dice. Which symbol is 1,2,3 Which symbol is 4,5 Which symbol is 6 |

Also I want to try printing my own decals which need to be printed using an inkjet printer,I don't know what that is. I have an Epson eco tank printer is that an inkjet? Do you have any other advice on this matter? Do I need to prime? What about varnish? |

Don't worry about what type of printer you have. I used a laser printer and it printed fine. I printed the die faces on plain paper, then glued them on blank white 16mm dice with super glue. Make sure the paper is cut smaller than the die face. I found it was best to make sure the whole paper is "wet" with the glue, so it sticks down well. If you print on decal paper then just cut to size and stick straight on a blank die. There is no need to prime the dice in either case. Then spray the dice with clear gloss varnish. Usually you can deduce which symbol is the highest frequency, both because the sets of symbols available for printing usually reproduce the symbols in the right proportions, and because the most powerful or versatile symbols are naturally the least frequent! Good luck |

You might be wiser to change the rules to read 1,2,3,4,5,6. Thus, you can then use normal dice. martin

If you look at the top left activation on any Saga board ( the one for hearthguard and warlord), the symbols are in the order Common, Uncommon, Rare. |

Your Epsom is an inkjet. Best to print onto sticky back paper designed for an inkjet. If you used a laser for inkjet sticky paper the symbols will smudge (I know from experience) |

Thanks so much guys for all of your advice!. I've wanted to try the decal paper for along time and these dice seem like a good place to start due to the cost of these dice and the fact I like to have 2 copies of such things. |

The symbols are available online. I copied and pasted into a Word doc then printed onto self adhesive labels. Cut out and stick to dice. I bought some blank dice with square indents designed for the above. I produced four sets of six for the original factions. They are great but I never want to go through the hassle again. I bought the correct dice for the next factions. ;-) Have fun. |

Hi cavcmdr I'd love the dice from the shop, but can't justify spending the money for age of magic the 3 sets cost £34.00 GBP at the very least I'll need a second set of magic dice £44.00 GBP!! Plus 2 sets of magic cards another £24.00 GBP that's £68.00 GBP!! Plus 2 sets of range ruler & tokens another £13.00 GBP! That's £81.00 GBP ouch. Were in GW Territory right their. I'm a sucker for nice shop stuff but i have my limits. Then their are at least 2 other universe books I want Yeesh. |

Or, you could make professional looking Saga dice. There are a bunch of YouTube videos on "how to" make dice using clear water slide decals. Quite simple, I did it and I'm an old, old man. Remember Ink Jet decal paper is different from Laser Jet decal paper. A link to my home made Samurai and Korean Saga dice; link |
