"MI5 has issued a rare warning that an alleged Chinese agent has infiltrated Parliament to interfere in UK politics. An alert from the security service said Christine Ching Kui Lee "established links" for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) with current and aspiring MPs. She then gave donations to politicians, with funding coming from foreign nationals in China and Hong Kong…" YouTube link YouTube link Main page link Armand |

This should NOT be very surprising, since one of their female spies was banging one of our congressmen, and acting as a supporter, presumably pumping him for confidential info at the same time. Apparently, he is a committee member on both the Intelligence AND Homeland Security committees. A female senator had a Chinese spy as a driver for a very long time as well, and kept him on even after she was informed of his status. Many other US reps and their family members are profiting mightily from their relationships, gifts, and "business agreements" with the Communist Chinese Party, and by extension, the PLA. I find it sickening, but it is how the Chinese buy influence and power on a global basis. |

Seems like politicians can be bought on the cheap now a days. It doesn't matter what country the are from. |

Nothing new here, we gave them "gifts" when we could. Now is their time for gifts |

Thresher, has not just happened in Congress, the Executive branch had all kinds of business connections going with them not long ago. These were also intelligence gathering ops for them I'm sure. They let no opportunity pass. |

Now it is clear who was arranging all these Covid parties to frame poor innocent Mr Johnson… I'm not so sure any hybrid warfare disinformation operation could have managed to get the omnishambolic nature of it all so precisely nuanced. And if it was I'm not certain having the Conservative Party deal with a failing leader in their usual ruthless manner would actually serve the interests of any the UK's opponents! |

I may be cynical but it hardly makes a difference to me if a senator is bribed by an American Super PAC or the Chinese government. Although upon reflection the Chinese bribery might be preferable; It certainly can't make the government any less responsive to the needs of the people. |

Yes … seems the PRC/CCP may not be looking out of it's people first. But you could say that about other nation's gov'ts too, I guess … But not to the level of the PRC … |

Anyone who believes that a totalitarian dictatorship is the better choice…. I'm not sure there is any other big evil corporate entity that directly uses slave labor and when they terminate an employee he is really terminated. |

Col Durnford, just because they can't do it now doesn't mean they won't do it. Seems to be a popular opinion since many movies have that same background. |

I'm not sure there is any other big evil corporate entity that directly uses slave labor and when they terminate an employee he is really terminated. Well 'our' corporations are vicariously doing so by subcontracting a huge proportion of manufacturing to them… I suppose they can legitimately say they were just responding to our demand for cheaper and cheaper goods! |

it's always the same (old) story, when I was (sigh) very young there was the Profumo affair, now seems the chinese have refined their tacticts, compared to the russians. |
Legion 4 | 20 Jan 2022 12:47 p.m. PST |
The "Honey Pot" tactic is a standard with both Russia & China. And still used with success, in at least two cases I can remember recently in the USA. One Russian & one Chinese … |
ROUWetPatchBehindTheSofa | 21 Jan 2022 3:52 p.m. PST |
Not sure its a 'honey pot' or spying for that matter more a case of 'here take some donations that don't come from the Chinese Government honest, just from people who they told to give you money of their own free will… And now listen to this highly airbrushed exposition on the virtuous nature of Communism with special Chinese characteristics and non-interference in foreign governments except when we don't want them to mention Cultural genocide and annexation of other States territory and an international waters'. By looks of it one MP took a donation and then reported her to MI5! Clearly they 'outed' her because what she was doing was detrimental to the UK, but didn't constitute a clear crime – otherwise she would have been arrested and prosecuted. By all accounts she's been at this awhile. |

The PRC and even Putin know … with Capitalists … $ talks … But let there be no doubt, the "Honey Pot" tactic did occur with US politicians, recently. |
