Just noticed that Todish's ALAMO SOURCEBOOK is back in print, both paperback and Kindle, at Amazon. It is a little dated and not QUITE as great as BLOOD OF NOBLE MEN, but still a joy to read and a great source of information.

Just ordered a copy of each.

Thanks!

John

I still have my tattered old 1st ed., but just ordered the Kindle version.

I was discussing with my wife of finally doing my Alamo project. I have the STL files to print out the Alamo. I own the 28mm version and most of it's painted. I was debating on whether to do it in 28mm, 1/72, 15mm, 10mm or 54mm. I own large numbers of figs in 1/72 and 54mm. I lean towards the 54mm version. I just think it'll be to big to move around. That's a big consideration. My wife wants it in 28mm. She said she'll paint the Mexicans. I found STL files to print them up. I would buy the Texans from Old Glory. I was thinking more so doing Blue Moon 15mm. But I guess it's gonna be 28mm as she bought me that Hudson and Allen Alamo.

Thanks

John

Need a big table for 28mm. H&A is incorrect in a number of ways, in particular in lacking the lunette in front of the main gate, which is quite elaborate, and which changes the defense quite a bit. The details of the west wall and the convent/long barracks are also wrong, though that is less important.

The lunette is fairly easy to construct from styrofoam and sticks, however.

Doc, that lunette you have the link to looks great. For those of us who aren't talented enough to make one does anyone know who does make one for the H&A Alamo in 28mm?

WoW Buildings makes an Alamo STL set. I own it and the Lunette is printable individually or as part of the front of the Alamo. Just the Lunette will fit easily on my Elegoo Neptune FDM printer.

I'll be doing that soon.

Thanks

STL files for the Mexican Army??? Where can they be found??

John Leahy Sponsoring Member of TMP01 Dec 2022 9:53 a.m. PST

Use French. Wargaming 3D has files for them.

Thanks

John
