1,500-point Tank-War battle report from San Antonio Texas:
Rob Gravener and I met up on Friday at Dragon's Lair SA (Medical) for a game of Tank Wars. I am heading to Siege of Augusta this Thursday to meet up with my son and play in the two Bolt tournaments held there – Tank War (1500pts) on Friday, and Bolt Action (1250pts) on Saturday. I will be playing my Russians in both events and Roman will be playing his Rumanians. link Rob played a German list. We played the long edge of the table with no real objectives other than to test my list and kill each other!! Rob fielded primarily a tank list, and I had a more balanced combined-arms list. It turned out to be a slug fest, with Robs Panthers failing to kill, but his two Puma's holding the destroyed village doing most of the damage. The game ended with the Russians capturing the village but leaving a number of burning hulks on the battlefield. Our first Bolt game since last summer so it was good to dust off the cobwebs and roll some Friday night dice at Dragon's Lair San Antonio – Medical Center!!! |
