And it's a new year of solo wargaming goodness at the Solo Wargamers Association Lone Warrior blog.

And here's the first post for January – a new featured sample article taken from the pages of the Lone Warrior Journal. From Lone Warrior Issue 209 we have A Solo Wargame Engine in which Joao Lima shares two different systems for simulating an opponent when playing solo PDF link

And the sample article for December was from Lone Warrior Issue 210, with Graham Emperson supplying a really detailed Solo Wargamer's Perspective on ACW tactics – it runs to 15pages and has a wonderful bibliography! PDF link

Jonathan Aird reviews some Christmas Craft trees that are pretty good for 15mm figures PDF link (but they looked bigger when he ordered them!)

Jim Rohrer reviews Two Hour Wargames from a solo gamer's perspective PDF link

Martin Smith has a review of Osprey MAA 219 Queen Victoria's Enemies (3): India PDF link

There has been a lively discourse on AI methods for solo opponents link

And Jonathan Aird failed to get to Salute 2021, but he did recall the fun of Games Day 1978 link !
