Today 8th January.
Visited the Wessex club in Southampton (Colbury hall).
It was pouring with rain but the club was welcoming and warm. I will give a few notes here so that gamers local to Southampton might feel encouraged to attend after along hibernation. This club appears to be thriving in terms of numbers attending (20+)and variety of games played.

DBM Ancients
FOG ancients
DBA ancients
6mm Vietnam
15mm PBI (my game with chums)
Fantasy game
Board games
Other games but I forget …sorry ( i am old).
Good atmosphere , good parking and all day gaming. Recommended. Lovely. In my PBI game my team ( Tim and I ) British lost to (John and Cliff) Germans.

Sounds promising, Martin – it's top of my shortlist of clubs to join (having failed to persuade the wife to move to Dorchester). Just need to get my act together (and my knee replacement). |
