"My Texas 2022 project: The English Civil War" Topic

Its 2022 and I have a new project!!! ECW – a combination of Warlord Games and Old Glory models – I already have a sizable ECW collection painted, but these have been sitting around for a few years and need to be finished. I will keep you posted on my progress.

I got my gaming group into the ECW decades ago & devised a map of imaginary "Rumplestiltskinshire" for a campaign. We had several great games. I found that, like the ACW, some players would play either side, but that others were decidedly for King or Parliament, while a couple chose to field Scots.

I'm in the Austin area and have a whole bunch of 25/28mm ECW. Where are you?

SpuriousMilius introduced me to ECW gaming an is one of favorite eras. I spent many enjoyable hours gaming through
R'shire and long to return. My forces cover both sides in 28mm and 15mm. Onward through the Fog!

Thanks for your kind sentiment, Shagnasty; I too long for the wargames of yore, but too many of our fellow gamers have moved on, either out of Texas or from this planet.

I have a pile of ECW Notes and Queries from the 80's that need a home. They originated from Partizan Press. I have about 20 issues if you want them. I ultimately replaced them with a nice collection of books, some of whom were early contributors to the series.
