I thank everyone for my last post, very helpful! I am wondering what some of you use/prefer for mud effects on vehicles. I ask because I have two products I'm just itching to try, VMS smart mud and spot-on pigments. Thank you in advance! |

In 15mm, I dry brush some grey across the lower suspension and up the sides from the back of the wheel wells and bogies. |

Paint all the wheels and tracks a dark color and dry brush one or two other colors. You may want to put a sepia or grey wash over the whole thing. Then do some more dry brushing. Depending on the terrain the mud may even splatter up to higher up in the vehicle. Make sure your mud matches the color of your terrain. Fresh mud is wet, so use a wash but dry mud is lighter and dry. Anyone who has been around tanks and infantry carriers knows how messy it can be! You can't go wrong! |
