I wanted to expand the poses of my plastic Winter Heer minis by adding plastic arms from some of the other German sets. I thought I might try the plastic Waffen SS arms. Just eyeballing it they look OK but I don't have the best vision to begin with. Has anyone tried optional plastic arms on the Winter Heer coat wearing g bodies? Thanks. |

The other arms can be made to work. You just have to recreate the greatcoat cuffs. |

Thanks, I caught that. Not too tough a task. |

Why not use the SS as winter smocks, just use winter heads or green stuff some hoods on the back of the smocks! |

I have used the Soviet winter great coat arms to help change up poses. I needed the German weapon sprue from the earlier sets but this gave new options. I had different arms holding mg34 in different positions. Got ppsh sub machine guns in this way. I am doing mine up as 1942. I have a few of the blitzkrieg bodies in there with helmets or ushanka hats on them. Made pants a bit baggier with green stuff. JH |
