The Lady Emma Cuddlestone-Smythe and I renewed our annual Christmas holiday war game using Teddy Bears wearing tricorn hats.

I believe it was Frederick the Great who said, "A bear will fight long and hard for a stack of chocolate coins."

That was a grizzly battle, Jim.

Thanks for sharing that with us.

Well done, looks like a hard fought engagement.

Who makes the teddy bear grenadiers and infantry?

They used to be made by Eureka, but they are out of production. Someone bought the molds several years ago and is sitting on them.

Absolutely splendid. I didn't know how devastating pop guns could be! And the fact that the Blue Bears went back to their camp defeated and without their wagons of chocolate coins.
Fritz, I do think that the pith helmet is bad luck against the tricorne. Perhaps next game you should wear a kepi or a picklehaub for better luck?

So having a toast with the hard stuff before even starting the battle. Sounds like there was a method to this.

The toast was with Diet Coke, our drink of choice. :)

Like I said the hard stuff.

You better not go into town today; the Teddy Bears are having their melee!
