Recently I got a new Epson ET-3760 printer, it's one of those ecotank ones that uses liquid ink in bottles that are used to refill the internal cartridges. Way cheaper ink refills than the cartridge method. I like the printer a lot and I get good results.
My problem is I can't seem to be able to print decals. I have tried two different brands of inkjet decal paper that worked fine with my old printer. The decals print but most of the ink beads up on the surface of the decal like water on a freshly waxed car hood, making the decals useless.
I contacted Epson customer service and the lady never heard of waterslide decals and although she suggested a couple of printer settings they did not help at all.
I have sent emails to two blog writers who recommended the EP-3760 as being great for decals and no response from either of them.
I have contacted two decal paper companies and one is out of business and the other knows nothing about the EP-3760 or how to print with it.
Any suggestions?

It's not something simple like the paper being wrong way up, is it?

It's never easy anymore, is it?

I have had good success with HP inkjet printers.

That is disturbing, since I was considering an Epson, but no longer if this pans out to truly be an issue.

I have no experience in this but have heard that laser printers work better than inkjet

Lasers may be great for paper, but I don't think they work with decal paper. I could be wrong though.

I've only used the Testor's (or is it Revell) decal paper they sold at Walmart ages ago, with good performance, when paired with an inkjet printer.

My Epson printer is only a few months old and was kinda expensive so no money for a new printer. I really like it except for this decal problem. They make special paper for decals and it is specifically for either inkjet or laser. I double checked and the paper I have is the inkjet type. It worked before with my old HP. Yes, CeruLucifus it was upside down and it printed fine. It's rightside up it prints poorly and beads up on the decal sheet part itself.
