For those that play regimental F&F, two questions. 1. Does anyone play with four figures mounted to a stand? If so, does that affect your game? 2. How do you handle the market on the command stand? Do you keep putting stickers over each other? Off-board record keeping ? Other? |

1. Yes. It looks slightly odd when you have a double line, but we mostly play BFF and we are not going to paint separate armies for RFF. 2. I print out the labels (allowing a bit of extra space at the top) and laminate them. Then I attach each label to a base with sticky tape. The extra bit at the top of the label goes under the base and the sticky tape is applied to it and the bottom of the base. Laminating the labels is particularly useful if you want to refight the battle again later. Hope that helps. |

1. My armies have 5 Adler 6mm infantry figures based in a single rank on stands sized for 15mm. I also have Baccus and Heroics & Ros figures based on stands sized for 15mm with 2 strips on a base, one behind the other. A colleague has based up to 5 15mm figures on a stand sized for 15mm. None of these affect our game – as the rules say, it is for visual effect only. 2. I print out the labels but do not laminate them. To fix them to the bottom of the command stand, I use file index tabs – the strips of coloured tape with weak adhesive along about 2/3 or their length. The weak adhesive means the strips can be re-used and removal does not damage the label or stand. Most strips last a few games before the adhesive becomes too weak to hold the label in place. |

I have 4 figs on a base. Just treat each as two bases for RFF. |

I label the command stand using an excel base label with name , hierarchy, rating, etc. what are these extra removable labels for? |

The number of figures on a stand doesn't matter. I think F&F really missed the mark with doubled up stands representing a line. I would call a 4 man stands 2 stands, and I would not make a double line. |

Totally agree with you, Joe. A four-deep line doesn't look like anything on an ACW battlefield (at the regimental level at least). "Longstreet" also seems to push these extra-chunky "lines", for no good reason that I can discern. |

My stands were already mounted for the original Brigade Fire and Fury, and we didn't want to redo the stands for Regimental. (The original rules had 3-5 figures on 1 in by 3/4 inch OR 7/8th inch depth. The second ed brigade rules have the same size/figure stands as the regimental rules.) But since we began playing with the original brigade rules, we decided not to rebase. It doesn't make a difference to play. |

I simply call one four figure stand to be the same as two 3 figure RF&F stands. I place a short pipe cleaner between the front and rear ranks on the 4 figure stand to indicate it's only 1 RF&F stand. My 15mm stands are the same width as those recommended for RF&F. The only difference is a march column is shorter using my 4 figure stands as they are 1" deep whereas two RF&F stands are 1 1/2" deep. I can always slightly separate the 4 figure stands to depict the longer length of the march column. |

I agree with AussieAndy. My infantry troops are mounted 3 or 4 per stand. My Skirmishers are 1 or 2 per stand. |

basing mine with three or four to a stand so I can also play JR. The figure amount for F&F doesn't make much of a difference. |
