Little kids toys in the discount bin are a good source of stuff if you can look beyond the primary colours.

Here are a couple of toys (SWMBO grabbed for less $3 USD total) that can take on a decent, girtty sci-fi look with a little conversion work. The conversion work also allows these to work decently from 15mm-28mm, if you're OK with the differences in size.

Like them both – but the mining vehicle looks awesome!

The mining vehicle screams Mad Max.

Where'd she find them. Nail her foot to the floor. She's a keeper.

Thanks, all.

I'm more worried about whether or not I am a keeper. I've done OK for the last 30 years, so far.

I believe she foond them in a thrift store. The doscount bin in a thrift store. That's my kind of shopping! It's for CHKD, so we usually let them ring us up and then give them and extra $50. USD I don't count that in the cost of the stuff.

Nice find! I like the final jet, dark and menacing.

Lovely work.

The lady is definitely a keeper.

Love that fighter/shuttle.

Is as a fighter, it looks very much like those in Traveller, though a bit large for 15mm scale.

Looks like it could serve double/triple duty for 15mm/18mm, 25mm/28mm, and 32mm/34mm scale minis.

Congrats on having an ally helping search for your gaming deals. That IS a rarity.

Thanks, repaints of primary colour things always amaze me when I do them. That keeps me doing them.

I figure I could cram 10 28mm space marines in the body, so that makes it a fighter/transport at 28mm. Definitely a carrier of some sort in 15mm. I plan to use it as a exo/endo atmospherice cargo ship for 6mm (MechWarrior) next week.

Like the miner, once you get rid of the cockpit, there is no real indicator of size, so it can be what you need.

Thing I forgot to mention: The miner vehicle front grinder wheels acutuall turn when you roll it across the floor. It is trés cool.
