Hi all,
I may have missed a post somewhere, but crazy question(s). Has Battlefront/Flames of War stopped making spray paint? And if so permanently? Pourquoi?

Wargamer Blue12 Dec 2021 3:33 p.m. PST

They stopped making it years ago. There were major issues with cans leaking.

Ah, thank you. I haven't been to the U.S. for about three years and our local stores do not carry them.

What do you recommend as a replacement? Soviet, U.S. NATO?

Battlefront has switched back to using Vallejo. Vallejo now also have a range of spray paint cans.

Another possibility is Plastic Soldier Company depending on which country you are in. I don't think that they ship out of the UK.

I believe that you can get away with using almost any Olive Green spray paints for Soviets since they had a lot of variety. For example the Ammo of Mig Russian Green set covering 1956 to present has four different shades of green.

Sorry I'm not too sure which colour to use for US Nato Green.

Thank you Chimpy. My local store does carry Vallejo. I have to pick up some glue so will take a look.

Tamiya has a good NATO Green spray.

Sadly, my local Walmart is almost devoid of ALL spray paints now.

Looks like they must be produced in China and the offshore cargo backup is adversely affecting deliveries.

A pity that BF couldn't just find a better can manufacturer.

But I do miss their Crusader Yellow.

Testor's Model Master range has just about anything you might need; worth getting an airbrush if you don't want to brush paint.

Isn't Testors MM swimming with the dodos now? Rustoleum is killing it off, it not killed already.
