This weekend saw the final club big-game played at the DWG which brings our club year to an end.

link

This year's theme was WWII 15mm for which the club enjoys several members holding large collections and thus presenting the opportunity to put on a mega-game such as this one.

link

As with all our previous end of year games the focus is very much on bringing the whole club together in one game, having fun and celebrating our hobby and this game lived up to those principles in spades.

If you would like to know more then just follow the link to the club blog.

A great looking game, sorry for the loss of your game mate.

Beautiful photos, the map of the tables is interesting.

I must say that whoever is sitting at the "Air Support" table for the Germans must have been a bit lonely.

Hi and thank you for your kind comment.

I think our German commanders were feeling a bit twitchy before the end of the game with quite a few keeping a wary eye out for any movement above, and yes the Luftwaffe commander was not too stretched although I did see the odd FW190 put in a very quick appearance.

That is a very nice looking game, Carojon!

Hi and thank you.

The club pulled out all the stops for this end of year game and I know everyone had a great time, followed by a few jars in the pub afterwards.

Thanks for your comment

Well done! Reminds me of the George Gush, Campaign in a Day articles in early issues of Miniature Wargames.

Ha! Very Good.
Well I reported things very much in the spirit of the day with the only serious aspect of the game being to make sure everyone had a good time, with that particular box definitely ticked.
