I continue to test the latest iteration of my ancient rules (Ancient Battlelines Clash) with seven games on a 12"x12" table. The armies are all the Basic Impetus Volume 1: Age of Chariots converted to my troop definitions and then cutting down the number of units by about one-third to fit on the small board.

After these games I went back to the drawing board and have a much revised ruleset I am using for 2'x2' battles so this is likely to be the last of the games I play using my Ancient Battlelines Clash rules.

How I did the armies, troop definitions, solo opponent and seven quick game reports (well, quick for me anyway) on the blog:

A good idea well presented. I'm going to have to study this a bit. But my first impulse would be to keep the rules and board, but use much smaller castings. (I'm assuming these are 15mm throughout?)

Thanks Robert. These are 15mm all the way. In the past I have used 6mm on 30cmx30cm, not sure why I did not use them here as I have 6mm Biblical figures!
