You were asked – TMP link I was wondering what rules were you currently using for WWI. 7% said "Great War Spearhead" 5% [TIE] said "Blood and Valor" OR "General Quarters III" OR "Over the Top/Command Decision" |

I use two hour wargames , but that is my go to rules, esp. at conventions. |

Might have been a good idea to specify whether land or sea battles, since GQ3 is a naval set |

A friend and I have been tinkering with Naval Thunder. I can't say I've figured it out enough to recommend, but I think it's worth a look. |

Let's add "Ace of Aces" since we didn't say Land, Sea or Air. :) |

Somewhere, Greg Novak is smiling. I now use Command Decision 4, with WW1 modifications by Scarborough and others -- but still like those old Novak scenarios from *Over the Top*. Wadi Majid is my favorite of these. For smaller battles, I use Men Under Fire rules. In any case, scenarios are from East Africa or the Middle East -- far from the madding crowd in Europe. |
