After 30 odd years of painting with brushes my wife has brought me an airbrush for Christmas so 2022 will be the year I try to master a new way of painting. Also have a few 40K miniatures coming as im on a big Grimdark kick. |

Had a couple of things as possibles at the start of November but finally decided that it was "habit" buying and I didn't really want them that much….so possibly a non-gaming Christmas which is a bit weird to contemplate! |

Nothing really. I told my daughter that I would give her a selection of three books and she could buy me one of them. I am only doing that because she insists on getting me something. I did buy myself some John Jenkins French and Indian War figures. I will give those to my ex, and she can have my son wrap them and give them to me. I buy myself gaming stuff and books all year long so, for Christmas, I like to buy other people presents. |

I've asked Herself to pick me up a copy of Pony Wars. But since I won't come home from my current deployment until mid-February-ish, we're sort of going to Christmas in March. Anyway…things can change very quickly. I read this review PDF link and thought "hmm, go to try them!" And that's how I found out about the Osprey Black Friday deal which runs until 9th December. So this will now be an Osprey Wargaming Christmas for me! |

And just as quickly it isn't. Despite the site saying From now until 9th December 2021 we are offering all website customers up to 40% off hundreds of games and books. Selected print titles and games are 30% off and eBooks are 40% off. The price reductions disappeared at midnight on the 4th (i.e. 20 minutes ago!). So I'll probably still get Absolute Emperor, but the rest of the basket I'd put together I can probably wait for… …oh well.  |
