Not so much Pikeman's Lament, more Horseman's Lament. In this exciting encounter, mounted troops chased one another up and down the high street of some undeserving Midlands town, much to the consternation of the local populous. I'm not sure which side one, nor whether that side would have known that they had won. Horsemanship and rabble-rousing ribaldry were the true victors, I imagine. Rules used were the popular Osprey title 'Pikeman's Lament'.

Thanks for sharing. No matter how much I try I just can't warm to Pikeman's Lament. Nothing specific, just don't do it for me.

Some have gone to mixed units and other novelties can make it more interesting. Lament does what it says and gives a decent game. Planning another Lutzen game with @200+ points.
