WW III update (late battle report from 4 November). Chris (T-80 battalion) attacked Evan (US M113 infantry) in the No Retreat mission.

The crux of the game came down to whether the eight T-80s could outlast the three Abrams HC tanks. The Abrams came on from reserve on turn 1 helping the Americans nicely. Between TOW shots and Abrams cannon shots, three T-80s were destroyed. The Soviets were slowly whittling the lead American infantry, Bradley and RDF elements through a combination of cannon fire and an assault. The remaining T-80s were divided along either side of the battlefield with the Abrams more centrally located. The Abrams moved around the McPizza restaurant to respond to an anticipated T-80 attack, but went a little too far permitting side shots from both of the T-80 units. The T-80s had good shooting resulting in three Abrams going up in flames on a single turn. The Americans learned their lessons and will be back with a vengeance next time.
