Having long been a great enthusiast of WW1 fighter aviation, I came across and ordered a book by the name of "Jasta Colors" Volume 1, by Bruno Schmaling and Jorn Leckscheid. Ot certainly is a good book in terms of color schemes of the a/c of many German Jasta pilots. But, over and above that, I discovered that it was ALSO a totally fascinating glimpse into the lives, experiences and memories of these men, who were tracked down and carefully interviewed by WW! aviation enthusiast Herr Schmaling, who also happened to be a professionally educated and licensed psychotherapist. I could not put the book down until I had finished it cover to cover. Highly recommended for anyone with a deeper interest in the experiences of these men. B |
