Yes, the Tiger Is in Kelley's Heroes were also T34/85 chassis visually modified"[The Army call AFVs like this – Vis-Mods] to make the Tiger Is. The UK FV 432s were used for a number Vis-Mods of German AFVs. Saw a number of them at the D-Day reenactments in Conneaut, OH along the beaches of Lake Erie. Including Pz.IIIs and STuGs. Didn't notice they used the T-55 for the Jagdpanther in BoB. Looked great! Saw a Czech halftrack at Conneaut too. ddayohio.us |
