Hello fellow enthusiasts, I'm once again tapping into your collective knowledge on this topic. Which 28mm/32mm ranges do you personally recommend for the Onin/Sengoku period in feudal japan? I've checked out the following manufacturers already: - Northstar - Perry - Zenith - Gct Studios - Grey for now I really like some of these and will probably pick up single miniatures to represent hero characters, but I'm still not convinced of any of the line troops. My main issue is that they all seem to be metal miniatures, which is not a problem per se, but within the context of long, thin and bendy parts such as yari, naginata and yumi, it has regularly led to frustration for me. Are there any plastic ashigaru/samurai ranges out there that I'm missing? Or maybe you know of printable alternatives available as STL files I could print myself? Thanks in advance for any advice! |

There used to be the wargames factory line but those are, sadly, long gone. Warlord has the molds and produces a version of the kits but no where near as affordable. Supposedly, Wargames Atlantic is about to produce a new line of Sengoku period Japanese plastics in 28mm and these should plug that hole. |

Kingsford Miniatures kingsfordminiatures.org I'm biased as I am the owner but we do have a nice range of 28mm figures with more in the pipeline. Regards,
