First let me start off by saying TSATF/40 will be published and we really appreciate everyone's patience and understanding with a 2-year delay. That being said, I'm going into more of an explanation than usual.
In 2018 I fell off a ladder and fractured my pelvis. It was extremely painful and thankfully non-surgical. However I'm still dealing with rehab on my own and realizing I'm not as agile, or brave, as I once was.
Next, the firm where I've worked for 14 years transitioned from the owner/founder to an office colleague. Everyone was very happy with this change and our new direction. But over the last 1 1/2 years, it seems that I am having to shoulder the majority of office administration I didn't expect or want at this stage in my life.
Next Covid came along and during the shut-down my firm was fortunate enough to be able to work from home. Still our business model has been forced to make drastic, and immediate, changes to survive. This we have done and are even growing our client base.
Last autumn our apartment building was put up for sale, rather foolishly many think. It's 100 years old and has many "issues" that have kept it from selling. But we tenants (it's a triplex) have had to endure prospective buyers and endless showings, inspections, etc.
And we still have the post-Hurricane Ida problems to deal with here in New Orleans and Louisiana. In fact, 3 weeks after the hurricane, my checking account was the victim of a fraudulent check (I only write checks for donations) that almost wiped me out. The ensuing time that has been spent cancelling, restarting, changing, online entities has been unbelievable.
So as I said at the beginning of this missive, we don't like sharing so much personal information but now I hope you can understand the delay with TSATF/40. It will be published but we can't provide another firm release date at this point; we've already done so and had to miss them.
TSATF is so very important to Christy and I. It's Dad's legacy not just to us but to all the gamers who have kept it alive for 40+ years. It will see daylight, we promise. If you find this an unacceptable route for you to take, then just email us for a refund of your pre-order. You can order again upon its actual release.
Again our profound thanks for this wonderful "Band of Brothers & Sisters" who inhabit the miniature wargaming community that is such an integral part of our lives.
