I don't see much of anything about this game on TMP. I have a 12 year old who likes to occasionally play WWI WoW/WoG at the FLGS, but he still needs help with the maneuver cards. Is BRS something that a 12-year-old can play without a lot of effort? He likes short games with relatively simple rules (and, as I get older, so do I!)

I bought two copies of the Airfix tie-in set of Blood Red Skies that Warlord had out last year, each set had two each 1/72 scale Spitfires and Me-109s. (There hasn't been any further releases in the 1/72 scale, so I think the game will continue to primarily feature the smaller resin aircraft.)

Truth in advertising – I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but I've read the rules many times and checked out a Youtube video. The rules seem very straightforward and clear, with minimal bookkeeping and stats to track. I think the game would be eminently playable by a 12-year old.

Yes, very easy to pick up and play, a lot of fun and short games are the norm. Highly recommend.
