Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

I bet this guy went through his plan on how he was going to blow up a Woman's Hospital in the UK several times. Step by step, building infernal device, concealment, entering target area and final act.

But you must consider ALL possibilities and it seems he missed one, transport.

While in the back of the taxi he and his bomb took to the Woman's Hospital, the driver figured out this guy was up to no good, locked him in the back of the taxi and ran for help.

Having NOT considered that he, his bomb and his "cunning plan" might be locked in the back of the taxi, he had NO contingency plan to escape from the locked rear of said taxi and detonated the bomb.

He's dead and the taxi isn't doing too well.

All others are fine.

Plan for all events.

I've heard the "6 Ps" before … I've probably even used it a few times in the past and currently.

In the Army, we always tried to be proactive and in turn reactive. The later seemed to occur often.

At the core of the Six P Principal is the necessity of personal control over every part of the plan.

In the case of Late Idiot, he gave up control of getting himself to the scene of his intended action by taking the taxi (thank goodness).

No amount of planning can eliminate the unknown/unconsidered/unexpected and otherwise unbelievable, but a Six P Strategy will be as close as anyone can come to minimizing their influence on the outcome.

Thank goodness UK taxis can be locked that way! I believe he was targeting a hospital.

That said, be thankful the bad guy must have been a bit dim.

Ever thing to break a window?

No. It appears that the taxi driver locked the doors while both were still in their seats. He escaped from the cab after the bomb detonated.

Incredible presence of mind. Hopefully the donations will afford him a new taxi:
