Really nice review. I agree. I was so excited when this product range got released!

This new multi-basing in hard plastic is perfect for me to get into Napoleonics on a large scale. Civil War also.

I love both of these time periods but I had no interest in buying blisters or packs of loose minis. and building armies the traditional way in various scales.

What I love about this scale is that it's large enough for the details of the models to pop visually on the tabletop. Yet it's small enough so that things like cuffs, facings, and particular battalion or regimental differences aren't THAT critically important as they would be in larger scales.

Same goes for things like flags. I mean sure, they provide flags for historical battalions, and there are differences. But to be real about it, the flags are so small that at tabletop height you can use the infantry flags pretty much interchangeably.
