A previous post about Bills, Bows and Bloodshed 2.2 attracted a complaint so the editor of TMP and myself have had a discussion. This is the amended version of an earlier post which I believe now meets TMP guidelines.

For those unaware I have been a member of the Lance and Longbow Society for many years and I am a frequent poster on the Wars of the Roses and Medieval boards here on TMP as well as writing for Hobilar, the society journal. I also give away free flags and standards via my Flickr presence here…

I am also often seen at UK shows in various capacities including with the Lance and Longbow Society. The Society's 2008 Siege of Orleans at Salute is featured here…

As a pure historian for more than 50 years I feel the so-called Wars of the Roses has not been well represented in wargaming and Bills, Bows and Bloodshed 2.2 is my attempt to address that. BBB 2.2 was first discussed on TMP, by me, several years ago and, at various times, people have asked me 'where is it?' and the answer was that my general health and Covid had held it up. Until last week…

I am not a business (firmly retired) and – at this stage – I think I will be lucky to cover my costs. This is a passion project or mere 'vanity publishing' – you choose!

Copies will be available at Salute in London, on Saturday November 13 at Dave Lanchester's book stall. I will be there wearing a white tee-shirt and available for earnest discussion or to answer questions.

BBB will also be available via e-bay, when I work out how to use it.
e-bay and I are a case of "old dogs learning new tricks" etc.

Sounds like a great project. I hope this goes well for you.

well at least somebody will be at Salute :)

I'm not at Salute but a friend is going and I'm asking him to pick up a copy for me :)

@pogoame:
Based on other events this year so far the numbers should be reasonable. Newark was very well attended while the SELWG show (at a new and unfamiliar venue as well) was reasonable.

@David Manley:
Ask him to introduce himself… I will be wearing a white tee-shirt.

He's seen this thread :)

@David Manley;
Thank you.
Meanwhile, at 5am UK time I cannot believe that I just got out of bed to attend Salute.

I also cannot believe that I have a muntjac deer ('the barking deer') barking in my back garden! [I live in the country]

@David Manley:
I met your friend, and we had a chat.
Kindly let us know what you think of the rules once you have them.
