Artillery crew of the French Marines. These are 28mm figures by Askari Miniatures.

I painted them in the khaki uniforms for a buddy of mine Last Stand Dan for use in his Indochina games. I painted two gun crews, to differentiate them I painted one crew with white trousers and one crew with khaki trousers. These will be used as 4 man gun crews for TSATF, The Sword And The Flame and TMWWBK, The Men Who Would Be Kings imperial troops.

Great brushwork and the trouser paint is great – I am doing up a bunch of troops for TSATF and I am going to use your clever idea

Thank you folks. The feedback is much appreciated! I've got tons more to paint, but don't we all. I'm currently working on Askari Minis colonial Russian troops.

Usually slap-dash affair. :)

As always brother excellent work. For my tastes wouldnt dip at all but to each their own. Also MUCH appreciate you taking the time to list the paints used and most are easily obtained and relatively cheap craft paints. Wish more folks would take the time to do that.

Hi Mark, I'm really having fun with the Russian colonial project. I love those 1/72 scale ones your having sculpted!!!! I'm currently finishing up some Russian mounted command figures for my friend who's part of our epic NWF campaign. I'll post something soon!

As far as the French, I have all those I bought from you and from Al at Askari Minis waiting patiently to be painted, lol.
