I like the way he lined the river with raised scenery sections to look like river banks and give the impression the river was below table level. I've seen enough trees on the edge of the river to appreciate that most of the edge pieces are wooded.

Today we received a message that General Chernyaev took Tashkent. Nobody knows why or why. There is still something erotic in what is happening on the borders of our empire heh?

Anyway, the 'river' I'd have said is a portion of a lake, since it erupts from the middle of the table… anyway very nice set up and pix , superb display!
