Not a surprise. NE USA is very unfriendly toward firearms. Winchester and Colt are already Japanese owned. |

Good for them. No sense supporting those that hate you and your product, and that want to shut you down. A lot of companies ARE doing this now, due to extremely business unfriendly environments in various states. The West Coast is another region very unfriendly to many businesses. Many seem to be moving to TX, FL, TN, and other more welcoming states. I don't blame them one bit. Interesting. I didn't know they were Japanese owned, and the irony there IS striking too, since guns are verboten in Japan. |

Colt's quality hit the skids decades ago. Remington's highlights were when the dirty harry movies were popular. I knew too many people who worked for both firms. |
