Some more progress on my Imjin River Korean war board. I have managed to flock and add bushes and trees. Next I'll start adding in roads, minor rivers and all the many, many rice paddies. The game will be fought with 6mm figures using the All Hell Let Loose rules. More details on this, and the earlier steps in the build, can be found on my blog allhellletloose.co.uk link link |

Looking great! What scale do you play with? Is your Arnhem board the same? |

Thank you all very much for the kind words! CeruLucifus this board is 1:4000, or 1 inch to 100 metres, the hills rise at the same scale, with 5mm foam board for each 20m contour. My Arnhem board was done at 1:1000 which was also true scaled. I'll be using 6mm figures with one stand representing 1 platoon or about 25 – 30 men. I may cheat a little and have 1 stand represent more Chinese troops than UN. Generally the rules set the size of a formation at 12 bases. The Glosters will probably get two formations on table. Each Chinese battalion will probably be represented by 12 stands regardless of size. As there will be about 10 Chinese battalions there will be plenty of them to go around! The key to making this a playable game will be using objectives and limited command options for the Chinese player and the appropriate use of artillery and aircraft by the UN player. CtM |
