Over the last few days, several reports have emerged about an exercise called Falcon Strike 2015 that was held in Thailand. Apparently, after a disastrous first day, the Thai Gripens came back and did pretty good against the Chinese J-11s and SU-27s. This article here has some pretty good information:

I didn't realize Thailand was on such good terms with China.

Pre-pandemic, many Chinese tourists came to Thailand. China is also selling military hardware to Thailand.

Interesting. I know a guy whose wife is Thai and he goes there to scuba dive on a regular basis. I never really thought of Thailand as being outside the hegemony of the US.

Also, China donated large quantities of vaccine to Thailand. However, the Thais believe the vaccine was not effective, and are now getting other foreign vaccines.

Something made in China that doesn't work? Color me shocked!

US has also been selling hardware to Thailand. Call it their traditional bamboo diplomacy.

You'd have to be either very brave, or very stupid to actually take a vaccine made in China under the current circumstances.

I don't trust them with dogfood and treats due to all the deaths of pets tied to those.
