Hi all, I wanted to share here the last project Mike O and I worked on together before his passing. We designed a model of King Kong. You can read the full blog post (part tutorial, part tribute) here, or just check out a couple of the photos below that link.

Here's the 3d print file on Copykad:

This looks great! I'm covetous of one of these to go with my anarchists.

I know nothing of 3d printing. Have you any idea how easy it is to rescale to 1:56?

apologies for the slow reply. I just learned this program for this project, and if I can figure it out, I'm sure you can too 😉. You can scale anything you'd like in Copycad, select all and scale by the appropriate number…. In fact, if you do please post here, I'd like to try printing the larger version too to see if the little bits come out better. will look nice on my bookshelf.

Thanks I'll bookmark this and try it when I have a minute.

@makhno1918 – I just tried to access the Tinkercad link you shared for this model and it had expired. Are you able to re share it?

let me know if you have any issues with the link.

I'd love to see how it scales up

Does anyone have a STL of this 3D model for download?

Thank you,

Jeff
