Proof that you don't need a lot of figures to run a nice game. |

Thanks everybody for the kind words Oddball, He is from Warlord's ECW range from the set "Arrant Scum" He might be a bit on the slim side for a wargamer ;) |

Wow! What a carnage! This was a savage affair in the age of elegance. By keeping the casualties on the table the game takes on a quality all its own. It graphically illustrates how bloody the battle was while at the same time giving the proceedings a classic toy soldier look. Well done! Three cheers for the winner! |

Legionarius, We took to leaving the fallen on the table back when we started using Pikemans Lament. It seems odd but in each battle there seems to be a certain area that becomes the focal point and the downed figures demonstrate the ferocity of the struggle. There is one infamous model farmhouse now known to everyone in our group as "The Cottage of Carnage" due to its ability to attract (and doom) any unit that passes close by. Wise leaders give it a wide berth! |

That really looks great! Love the scenery, the half-timbered houses, the stone buildings and the thatched roofs all look splendid. Photos and lighting are well done. To me that really enhances the enjoyment of the game. Cheers!

A very bloody for all, perhaps a bit more so for the cavalry. But then, the infantry might disagree. One really Great Game and an amazing collection of pics!! |
