"Funny Mis-Order?" Topic

We were preparing for a modern campaign, and we would place a group order to save a few dollars. My friend thought he ordered a goodly quantity of Soviet T-62 tanks.

When they arrived, he found he had actually ordered a goodly quantity of T-26 tanks!

(He decided he needed them…)

There's a saying here that says "En temps de guerra, tot forat és trinxera" (that is, "In war times, every hole is a trench").

So, if you haven't modern enough tanks to face the enemy, then throw at them whatever you have!

Not an order, but 50 years ago my mother typed my history papers for me, including one on Frederick the Great. Except instead of a Prussian army going to Silesia she had a RUSSIAN army going to SIBERIA. It was likely my handwriting, but I also doubt whether she had ever heard of Silesia.

I selected the wrong size bases from Litko. So now I have 100 10x40 instead of 15x40.

I used to order HO scale tanks from a company in West Germany. They never had most of what I ordered. So I started ordering larger and larger orders knowing I would be lucky to get half. They were charged to my credit card.
One day in about 1980 for my birthday, I ordered $600.00 USD worth expecting to get between $200 USD and $250 USD worth and they all came! The order was well over $600.00 USD with postage.

No, I caught it and corrected my paper by hand, and explained to the prof, who got a good laugh out of it.

I bought some 2nd edition metal purestrain genestealers on ebay. Instead, I got 1st ed. gs's (which I also needed for my collection.) I was very happy ‌‌ with the mistake (but didn't tell the seller about it… ;-)
