Well thanks to ultranationalist Modi's repudiation of Kashimiri political status as an autonomous region, Kashmiri muslims are ramping up attacks against non-Muslims and Indian security forces.
A lot of the new terrorists aren't necessarily full time terrorists – just locals who now trust the New Dehli regime and its intentions even less and who view outsiders as trying to wipe them out.

I've lived and worked in Kashmir. One of the men that I worked with was killed in front of his family(pre-Modi), because he converted to Christianity. His name was Jakub, if anyone cares. He was a kind man I have a lot of Muslim Kashmiri friends that I love dearly, but attacks against non-Muslims didn't start when Article 370 was revoked. Kashmir was violent and unsustainable under Article 370. It is violent and unsustainable now. There are some places in this world that don't have happy endings. |
