On a visit up to my home town of Newcastle I managed to drop in for a game with the Tyneside Wargames Club. Thanks to Herkybird for extending the invite to come along for the day. Also many thanks for the warm welcome from the club and the chance to join in a good AWI game. Great fun with plently of back and forth and I and the other British players attempted to push back an American assault. Our flank did well but a clear advance across the table to was hampered by a very stubborn skirmisher unit hiding in the woods. They held out all game taking pot shots at our formed ranks. Hope at some point to get back up to Newcastle, not least to put those pesky skirmishers in their place!
