I remember some on line and at a con a number of months/years ago. Some were laser cut, some were resin.
Back when we could go to a con and say, "Oh, I'll get them next time."

I can't seem to track down that company.

Was it the old glory shipyards?

John the OFM22 Oct 2021 3:57 a.m. PST

No, it was a laser cut kit.
I think it was carried by Wargame Tooks, or a name like that. Unfortunately their website is down and they operate on Facebook only, which I don't do.
So I'd like to get the original company, not a distributor.

I think you're thinking of Firelock Games. Most of their ship models are plasti/resin, but they have one laser cut, their corvette.

It is my understanding that Wargame Tools went dark this past November. Their resin boats and their Bermuda Sloop came from Games of War.

The large frigate was from a combined venture of Sarissa and DarkOps.

Hope this helps.

I think Miniature Building Authority still makes a Bermuda Sloop.

There is also LaserDreamWorks. They have a number of ships.

Wow. Even if I don't find what I'm looking for, that's a lot if eye candy.

Miniature Building Authority's sloop is a later model, with a pointier bow than some of the earlier, more traditional variants, but it does look very nice.

Apparently, the top of the cabin can be lifted off too.

The Sailpower people used to make one, which was a cut-down 28mm sloop, IIRC, meaning it didn't have the higher bulkheads (side rails) seen on most standard sloops from back in the day.

Laser Dreamworks is the one I think of for laser cut kit models.

The Games of War vessels are superb, and the detailing on their longboat is amazing, and it is very reasonably priced. Their sloop looks very nice too, but I haven't seen it in person.

I think it, along with those from Firelock, are some of the best pirate era vessels I've seen.

Looks nice, but I don't have a 3D printer.
Hmmmm…
But I do know someone "at taxpayer expense"…
