Hello, Was the uniform of German mountain troops during the invasion of Creta the same as regular infantry (field grey pants and green jacket)? Thank you |

They looted British stores on Crete and wore shorts with their standard tunic and field caps due to the heat. Gorgon Studios do three packs in this uniform. link |

Gebirgsjager trousers are cut slightly differently to the regular infantry ones, but for wargaming purposes it isn't noticeable. The main thing are their unique mountain caps, which have a shorter peak than the late war ski caps. Otherwise, hot sweaty field grey jackets and trousers. GJ badge on the upper right arm. |

Some interesting items on the Gorgon site. Pity they dont bother putting what the scale it is. If they do I sure cant find it. Assuming it is 28mm? |
