A brief and non-traditional narrative of a To the Strongest! scenario set in that "barbaric" location.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read or scan and perhaps even comment.

I tried to post to the blog but obviously failed . . .

You indicated that some purist would probably object to you having Gallic chariots and cavalry at the same time. However there was of course a transitional period, when both were used. Your scenario was set in 231BC, only six years before Telamon so has to be in cisalpine (Italian) Gaul. And both were still in use at Telamon so there's no problem with what you did.

Cheers,
John

Hello John,
Actually, you did post your comment to the blog. However, for some reason, your remarks landed in or under the post about "Playing with the Poeni."

I find this curious and odd as well, but I did reply to your observation(s) and added another note just now regarding the location and subject matter.

Thanks very much for taking the time to read and comment!

That is curious. Because when I went back to the Poeni post on TMP the link took me to the Gauls. . .

Hello again John,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you via this board and post.

You are correct: When you click on the Poeni post or entry, you will be redirected or taken to the post about Gaul. I believe, but cannot be sure, that this is because any click on my blog will take readers or just interested parties to the most recent post.

To find the relevant post, I believe one has to search the previous posts – over on the right and arranged alphabetically, it seems.

To be certain, I am no expert when it comes to blogging. I am just using this format and forum as an outlet for what might generously be called creative impulses.

For what it's worth, if you're interested, within a week, I plan on posting another wargame report. This time, it's a large Tactica II game between Byzantines and Sassanid Persians.

Cheers,
Chris

Sounds fun.

I myself am sufficiently "no expert when it comes to blogging" as to not have one at all so you'll get no criticism from me on that score. I have often considered it but to date, nothing . . .

Cheers,
John
