It has simply amazing detail and must be at least 54mm surely. I cannot find details of the model source, the figures used, the scale etc but there is so much to like.

The water effect, the water lilies, the canoe, and you cannot beat Grace Slick singing "White Rabbit". She was every just post pubescent lad's dream.

Nice looking PBR.

While I'll never paint to this standard it's a great reference for when I get to my Empress PBR. Thanks Armand

I think the figures are Verlinden.

Very nice diorama.

Some anachronisms – the smiley face is much later I think.

I think the grammar should be 'widow maker' not 'widows maker' but that could be an error the troops made.

Personally, I would have left off the small boat with the Vietnamese woman. It's a nice piece but less can be more.

The lack of interaction between them is interesting – like a Hopper painting. I think the US troops WOULD be interacting in some way though – at least watching her carefully with a weapon trained on her or possibly harassing her in some manner.

The water seems a little but foamy for the speed the boat is moving. That kind of muddy water does not create spray except at very high speeds.

Just some comments – very much enjoyed seeing the pictures and it is a very well executed piece.

Some very good points there. The smiley face was created by Forrest Gump long after his return from VN. The film says so and I believe.

The PBR crew are indeed very relaxed, considering their location and the poor lass standing in the adjacent boat will do well to keep her footing in the wake of the PBR.
