I love Tim-Mee's stuff, but their prices are high, IMO. Recently found some alternate tanks at the local dollar store: $1.00 USD/tank, or $9.00 USD/tank + shipping? Besides, this will give more variety. Several years ago, I contacted them to see if I could buy Mine Sweepers in bulk (I use them as Combat Engineers). No joy: only one Mine Sweeper per mold impression, and they would not break them up by pose. I get it, but I was disappointed. ☹ Cheers! |

Tim Mee is high. However, they are made in the USA and are very high quality. I have Tim Mee trucks that are over 40 years old and Tim Mee troops that are over 50 years old. Flash free and heavily played with and still going. Check on some FB groups about toy soldiers, people will often give up a few figures if you need them badly. I don't remember how, exactly, but I did manage to accumulate all of the Mine Sweepers that I should ever need. I really like Tim-Mee stuff. They just don't have all of the poses I want. Had to go Chinese for M-2 HMG's and M60 MMG's. The Tim-Mee figures are much better quality than all of the other brands, with rare exceptions. Even though I have ~2,000 painted, based, fantasy mini's, it is my Army Men collection (hundreds are mounted on decorated bases) that two of my sons will likely want the most. I wrote up my own set of rules for gaming with Army Men. My three sons helped me to play-test the rules. They feel genuine ownership over the rules, and they still enjoy playing them, as adults, in their 30's. Too funny. Cheers! |
