Good video! I should watch "The Sopranos". Thanks, John!
Home team baseball cap is the best. Add a crest and cheek armor and an aventail and you are all set!

I enjoy seeing the ones when folks show up with their caps that have the naval ship on it that they served on, or their unit insignia.

JimDuncanUK13 Oct 2021 6:15 a.m. PST

I don't wear baseball caps.

There is this one

But that would be for work

And it must have the visor facing forward!

When I went to multiple cons & game days in half a dozen cities each year, I'd often wear a cap from a favorite restaurant or bar located in the area. Out of town gamers often asked for recommendations.

I would have thought the one with the secret pocket for your "favorite" dice would have been in order. Oh, you don't have one of those? (yeah, me neither)

nickinsomerset13 Oct 2021 11:02 a.m. PST

I have a few with unit insignia, and a UN one for when I umpire!

Tally ho!

Structured or unstructured?

Don't tread on me on cap

I was taught not to wear a hat indoors, it is/was considered to be rude.

The local team. I'm a Seattle Mariners fan, hence my beat-up cap.

Other than the tons of military unit ones you can get, there are also tons of sports teams that have military related names. Depending on what you are gaming there are …

Trojans
Spartans
Vikings
Warriors
Cowboys
Inidnas
Seminoles
Aztecs
Mayas
Utes
Guarani
Tupi
Jets
Pirates
Minute Men
Mountaineers
Pioneers

and so on. Basically do a websearch for ballcap, sports, and your force type, and there's good odds you'll find one.

For conventions, I usually wear an unstructured cap, so that I can put it in my bag without worrying about it getting mashed out of shape.

In general, though, whatever, as long as it's comfortable.

Can't believe I didn't mention these …

… I'm still looking for an official JXSDF ballcap that isn't a couple hundred bucks.
